AWA Adolescent Wellness Academy
Our purpose is to provide teens facing mental health issues and their families: A place where you feel safe, loved, and cared about A place you no longer feel alone, but belong to a supportive community A place where you can heal and transform your life through the connection with others When you join our therapy programs, you enter a caring and non-judgmental community. This support network involves teens, their families, peers, and our team. Together, everyone plays a role in supporting each other while our clinicians create a safe space for this supportive community to flourish. Our outpatient treatment is an afternoon program to treat adolescents who need more than weekly therapy while they maintain their current school schedule. In this afterschool program, we focus on teen mental health, treating individuals aged 13 to 17 with mild symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, or substance use. Our therapeutic day treatment is a non-residential option for teens who need comprehensive, all-day clinical support while living at home. The treatment combines academic and therapeutic program, and is also known as partial hospitalization program (PHP). Our specialized therapeutic day program enhances teen mental health by providing comprehensive care for adolescents aged 13 to 17. Our approach addresses a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral difficulties, and substance abuse. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) for teens is a structured and evidence-based approach that teaches teens the skills needed to navigate complex emotional landscapes. We focus on teen mental health, treating individuals aged 13 to 17 with mild symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, or substance use. The program aligns with their school schedule, allowing them to maintain their routine while receiving the care they need. Our Teen DBT Therapy program is designed to support adolescents in managing intense emotions and developing healthy coping mechanisms. This specialized therapy is particularly beneficial for teens struggling with emotional dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and behavioral challenges. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of our core treatments for adolescents struggling with mental health challenges in the Miami area. CBT is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy that helps teens overcome negative thought patterns, manage their emotions, and change unhelpful behaviors. Our experienced therapists are dedicated to providing personalized care for every teen, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive. Teen Counseling focuses on helping adolescents manage emotional difficulties, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Our counselors are trained to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, peer relationships, family dynamics, and self-esteem.
