My goal is to teach the patient to be their own best therapist. To accomplish that, I like to combine approaches that assess strengths, weaknesses, personality and resources to work on enhancing their thought and behavioral patterns while working on unresolved anxieties or trauma to increase insight, resourcefulness and autonomy to cope with life difficulties. I work with preteen, adolescents, adults and elders overcoming life adversities, relational problems and unwanted behaviors through individual, family and couple therapy. I also offer group therapy for women who have a history of major adversity and trauma. I have a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, a short Graduate degree in Forensic Psychology, and a certificate in Sexual Assault. I also have multiple courses in criminology and law. Through my various work and volunteering experiences in a substance abuse center, at a psychological hotline, at a non-profit organization, and in private practice, I have integrated humanistic, existentialism, psychodynamic, DBT and components of CBT, and client-oriented approaches to my practice to offer a well-rounded and flexible treatment plan. I offer in-person and telehealth services in English and French in Hallandale. I am available most of the weekdays and evening.
