Danielle Norona Blocker

Dr. Danielle Norona-Blocker is a licensed psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and young adults presenting with an array of emotional and behavioral needs including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related conditions, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and when indicated, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Dr. Norona-Blocker also has training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and experience delivering behavioral parent training. She takes a collaborative approach with clients and those involved in their treatment such as parents and other providers on their treatment team. Furthermore, Dr. Norona-Blocker enjoys facilitating group therapy focused on social anxiety and social skills training. She is a certified provider for an evidence-based social skills intervention, the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Young Adults. Dr. Norona-Blocker also completes psychological, psychoeducational, developmental, and Autism diagnostic evaluations (utilizing the ADOS-2) for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Norona-Blocker earned a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her internship at the Elizabeth Faulk Center for Counseling followed by a two-year postdoctoral residency at the Neurobehavioral Institute, where she gained further specialized training in anxiety disorders and OCD and related conditions. In addition, she completed the Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training (PBTTI) through the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation (IOCDF). Dr. Norona-Blocker provides services via telehealth and out of the Weston location.
