Dr. Lissette Santa-Cruz

Dr. Lissette Santa-Cruz is a licensed school psychologist and the Testing Director at SoMi Counseling. She brings over 15 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults better understand themselves through thoughtful, comprehensive psychological evaluations. Dr. Santa-Cruz is fluent in both English and Spanish and passionate about making testing approachable, meaningful, and culturally sensitive. Whether a family is seeking answers about learning difficulties, attention challenges, autism, or emotional struggles, her goal is to provide clarity and guidance in a supportive, down-to-earth way. She holds a Doctorate in School Psychology with a focus on advanced assessment and has worked in schools, hospitals, private practice, and research settings. Her evaluations are thorough and strengths-based, offering practical insights and recommendations that truly help clients move forward, whether that means academic support, therapy, or just a deeper understanding of what’s going on. Dr. Santa-Cruz believes that testing shouldn’t feel intimidating; it should feel empowering. At SoMi Counseling, she is committed to walking alongside each client with care, curiosity, and respect, making sure they feel seen, heard, and supported every step of the way. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys all things Disney, crafting, and scrapbooking, which reflect her warm and creative spirit.
