Elizabeth Machado

Elizabeth Machado Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a range of behavioral and emotional difficulties. Dr. Machado's areas of specialty include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other related conditions, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and related modalities, including Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP). She provides both traditional outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment services. Dr. Machado earned a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed an internship in child clinical and pediatric psychology at MetroHealth Medical Center, an academic medical center of Case Western Reserve University. She completed her doctoral dissertation research on the impact of cultural factors in psychological assessment within hispanic populations. She has experience working with medically complex children and managing related psychological concerns. She received specialized training throughout her post-doctoral residency in OCD/ASD and the provision of EXRP, as well as in comprehensive Autism diagnostic evaluations using the ADOS-2. Dr. Machado provides services in English and Spanish. She see patients via telehealth and out of the Weston location.
