Naomi Tarlow

Dr. Naomi Tarlow is a Licensed Psychologist who provides evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical interests and expertise include disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and eating disorders. Dr. Tarlow provides a non-judgmental environment and an individualized approach, emphasizing collaboration with family members and other treatment providers. Dr. Tarlow strives to help patients generalize therapeutic gains and often provides environmental interventions for specific phobias, separation anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety and selective mutism. She is a certified provider of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and has received specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). She enjoys being involved in clinical research and has published articles on posttraumatic stress, peer relationships, and borderline personality disorder. Dr. Tarlow earned her master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Children and Families from the University of Miami. During her graduate training, she provided therapy and assessment services in a variety of settings, including the Mailman Center for Child Development and the Oliver-Pyatt Centers. Dr. Tarlow completed her doctoral internship at the Faulk Center for Counseling and her postdoctoral residency at the Institute for Life Renovation, an intensive outpatient program, and its sister private practice, the Motivational Institute for Behavioral Health. Prior to entering graduate school, Dr. Tarlow earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and conducted clinical research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute—Columbia University Medical School and McLean Hospital—Harvard Medical School. Dr. Tarlow provides in-person and telehealth services out of our Miami Beach, Weston, Boca Raton and Hollywood locations.
