Paige Shadden

Hi there! I'm Paige. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern at Restored Purpose Counseling, located in Jacksonville, FL. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space for my clients using a multicultural, trauma-informed lens in order to help facilitate creating the change you want to see in your life. I am passionate about diving into early life experiences and unpacking the messages we were given that can create negative core-beliefs within ourselves, and working to change these beliefs to live a more authentic, fulfilling life. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families, specifically those holding LGBTQ+ identities. I use a person-centered, collaborative approach and believe in individually tailoring my approach to fit each client, however tend to gravitate towards modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also frequently utilize attachment theory and mindfulness principles in my therapeutic work.
