Samantha DeVincent

Dr. Samantha DeVincent is a postdoctoral fellow specializing in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, particularly those who are neurodivergent, twice-exceptional, and/or navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, social challenges and emotional dysregulation. Her approach is strengths-based, integrative, and trauma-informed, with a focus on enhancing emotional resilience and supporting family systems. Dr. DeVincent has advanced training in psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions for youth, with a foundation in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotion Efficacy Therapy (EET). Dr. DeVincent completed her pre-doctoral internship at Jackson Health System/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine on the Clinical Child Track. Prior to her internship, Dr. DeVincent trained at the Summit Center, a psychology group practice in Walnut Creek, California, where she provided therapeutic and assessment services for twice-exceptional youth and families. She also provided psychotherapy and assessment services in school-based and community mental health clinics in the Bay Area. Her dissertation research explored the impact of overparenting behaviors on adult self-perception in individuals diagnosed with ADHD in childhood. Dr. DeVincent earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a minor in Business Administration. Dr. DeVincent is committed to culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment. She co-facilitates the SURF and PEERS group programs and provides psychological services both in person (at PPA's Aventura and Boca Raton locations) and via telehealth.
