About Goodman Psychological Services Center

The Goodman Psychological Services Center—also known as the Albizu Clinic—is a nonprofit clinic that has served Miami families since 1980 with affordable psychological and speech-language services. Operated by Albizu University, the clinic is led by three licensed Psy.D. clinicians: Evangelina Alonso (Director), Maria Alonso-Mahoney (Internship Program Director), and Cristina Miller (Chief Psychologist). Care is delivered by master's- and doctoral-level trainees under close supervision, and the site is an APA-accredited doctoral internship. Services include individual psychotherapy for ages 5 and up, couples and family therapy, and psychoeducational groups such as parenting-skills training. The clinic also offers a full range of evaluations—testing for giftedness, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, and neuropsychological concerns. Sessions are available in English and Spanish, and fees follow a sliding scale. Referrals are accepted from schools, hospitals, community mental health agencies, foster care, and the Florida Department of Children and Families.
