Jousseliett Centeno

I’m Jousseliett Centeno, L.C.S.W., and I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University. As a therapist here at SoMi Counseling, I specialize in implementing evidence-based interventions for adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma. My therapeutic approach includes Trauma Incident Reduction, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness techniques. I am passionate about providing trauma-specific therapy and coping skills to promote optimal mental health. Additionally, I help individuals navigate the effects of child abuse, domestic violence, addiction, and suicide ideation. ​ With extensive experience in developing effective and individualized treatment plans, I draw on my foundational coursework in Systems Theory and a Client-Centered Approach. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing me to offer culturally competent care. My commitment to fostering resilience and healing drives my practice, and I am dedicated to supporting clients in their journey toward recovery and well-being.
