Oscar Corea

My name is Oscar Corea and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I graduated from Nova South Eastern University with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Since then, I have had 6 years experience working at Community Health Centers and Private Sectors, providing Individual and Family Therapy. I have also provided presentations and spoken to to community centers and schools to educate about various mental health issues and diagnosis. I have worked with children, adolescences, and adults, with anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), and behavior problems, including ADHD. I incorporate many theories and techniques that are most suitable for each client and specific need that each client has, but I specialized most with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). For children, I am able to incorporate various techniques from Play Therapy to help children understand complex concepts in a playful and simple way.
