Summer Sullivan

Dr. Summer Sullivan is a Licensed Psychologist and Practice Owner at South Miami Psychology Group. Using an integrative framework of both Western and Eastern philosophies — including traditional psychotherapy, mindfulness-based techniques, energy psychology, and somatic treatments — she supports clients in learning to guide their mind, body, heart, and soul to find peace and alignment. She specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with or want to improve their quality of life vis-à-vis trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting, or spiritual matters. She also uses the healing properties of crystals, sound bowls, essential oils, and spirituality to facilitate a deeper healing, as necessary. Her therapeutic approach involves gentle nudging, mindfulness exercises, meditations, and visualizations to help clients visit aspects of themselves that are screaming for attention and meet them with love and compassion. Dr. Sullivan holds an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, both from the University of Miami, and completed her Psychology Internship at Miami Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
